I'm sure that anybody passing by Howes Cottage this morning would have been surprised to see me set off round the meadows wearing full waterproofs. It was a warm and sunny morning following overnight rain, and I knew what was waiting for me out there - Cow Parsley! We have several areas of it along both sides of the path, it's about 4'6" high, and each flower head holds a pint of water (not scientifically proven). It did the trick though, I managed to remain dry. Now to locate some waterproofs for Otto!
On Tuesday afternoon/evening I spent a few hours gluing semi-precious stones into brooches. Unfortunately I had a faulty tube of glue, it took a while for me to realise that more glue was coming out of a hole in the side of the tube than was coming out of the end! Panic ensued, I managed to separate myself from the tube and the polythene sheet I was using to protect my desk before the glue had set too much. Lesson learned - check the tube first!
Over the weekend I will have a stall at the Wortwell Bell. They are having a Beer Festival with Live Music on Friday and Saturday night, and a Family Fun Day on Sunday. I will be there most of the time & will have a new batch of Sterling Silver rings with me along with everything from the website. It would be lovely to see you there.
