It's been a busy week here at Howes Cottage. We had a stall at the lovely Daffodil Day event in the village, where Otto made many new friends and helped me sell a fair amount of jewellery. Good boy!! We have also welcomed a new member of the family, a beautiful new cockerel which we were given (thank you Laura), he's gorgeous and we've chosen to call him Sergeant Pepper, he's strutting around very happily, and he's looking after his ten ladies very well.
The garden is starting to look really pretty, and the meadows are changing really fast, we have the first few Green Winged Orchids coming into flower already. In the garden we have a rescued gnome, who was not required at his last residence. I'm not really a garden gnome person, but there's something nice about this one. He too has a name - Little Diddy Know. Silly I know, but my friend of many years standing used to have a Little Diddy Know & a Fairy Nuff living in her garden when she was a child, and this idea passed across to our family too. On the jewellery front - I have mostly been making bookmarks, I'm not sure why they are suddenly so popular, but long may it continue.
