.We spent a happy ten minutes during our walk this morning leaning on the field gate in Top Meadow watching a pair of Yellowhammers, we often lean on this gate, and are sometimes spotted by surprised looking passers by. Today we were discussing how little has changed round here over the years, only to have a very large tractor drive by, piloted by a young farmer wearing Raybans. I'm fairly sure that this is a recent phemomenon.
With the weather being so lovely yesterday I took myself on a solo trip to Southwold, Dick would usually have come with me but I really fancied going on my own for once, so I took the opportunity. It was great, I spent ages in the Adnams shop and came away with a few nice bottles of wine. The sea was really sparkly, and the place was pleasantly quiet and relaxing. Unusually for me I didn't spend any money in Fatface, even though I really tried!
Next week we will be away in Madiera for the week, the online shop will be open, but I won't be posting orders until Tuesday 28th March, sorry for any inconvenience. Otto and the Chickens are being looked after by new carers this time, so I just hope they all behave (the animals, not the carers). I will attempt to do a blog while we're over there, but it may well be tricky, I've never tried blogging on the phone before, so I'm sorry if I fail!
