I've had a lovely day today in the sunshine, I had a friend over for most of the day and we put the world to rights (as you do). As is usual for us cake was involved, but we had a walk round to meadows to help "pay" for it. I like to think that Karan left rather more chilled than when she arrived. Thanks for the flowers too, they're lovely.
As some of you know, our Otto is a wonderful dog, but even he sometimes has a naughty moment. We left him briefly last week to go to our swimming slot, which is only for half an hour. He has his bed and belongings in our hall, which we fondly call "Otto's Room". Sadly we also left the hoover in "Otto's Room", Otto does not like the hoover. He avoids it at all costs when it's working, but we thought it would be fine switched off. Wrong! During our short absence Otto made short work of disabling his old foe. When we got home I opened the door and found what looked like small pieces of liquorice all over the floor, Otto had chewed the cable (extra long) into tiny bits. Luckily for us (but not Otto) we have a spare hoover which we shall not be leaving in the hall! I just wanted to mention what a great weekend it was at the Wortwell Bell Beer Festival & Fun Day - as usual Liz and Chris managed to raise a huge amount of money for charity while giving everyone a brilliant time. I have been putting some new pendants on the website, with still a few more to go, so well worth a look.
