We're having a fantastic few days in the Peak District, where the weather has been dry, a bit parky, but bright, and the autumn colours are wonderful. We're used to walking Otto every day, but these hills make it so much harder, the four mile walks we do at home really are a doddle compared to these steep hills. The Dovedale/Ilam walk yesterday was a killer, but well worth it, the views were stunning, and we felt no guilt at all when we tucked into a ginger and toffee pudding yesterday evening.
Today has been quite a lot colder, but still lovely walking the Tissington Trail and having lunch in Ashbourne (where we were forced to try the Bakewell Tart, very nice). We have even started our Christmas shopping as there are several shops in Tissington which sell really unusual hand crafted items.
We'll be back at home tomorrow, where I shall be making myself busy creating new jewellery for the website and for the events I have coming up - Metfield Village Market this Saturday, and several more events to come.
