Although I spend a lot of time in my upstairs workroom making jewellery, I also sit for hours at my computer desk which is downstairs, and has a brilliant view of my bird feeders. Feeding the birds is something I was brought up doing, and I can't imagine stopping, however the cost is certainly not tuppence a bag these days. After I had replenished their stocks this morning, I went back indoors, camera in hand, and there was this Robin just sitting on the windowsill looking at me, I'd like to think he was saying "thank you".
One of the reasons I have been at my desk this week was to buy tickets to see Elbow at Thetford Forest in June, I don't know if it's just me, but I get very crestfallen when the screen tells me I'm number 784 in the queue. Still, I hung in there and got my tickets. I was a little perplexed when my brother in law came round and told me he had bought tickets too - he had tried a couple of hours later and had got them immediately!
Some of our hens have decided that (in spite of the very cold weather and being cooped up) they will lay eggs after all, We are now selling our surplus at the bottom of our drive, thanks to those of you who are buying them - they don't seem to hang about!
As usual, I have been busy on the jewellery front, with new items on the website today,
The weekly ramblings of a self-employed jeweller and countrywoman based in the Waveney Valley.
