When we got back from our holiday last week it was to find that the scaffolding had been put up in readiness for quite a lot of work on the roof. We had expected the roofing to start this week, but have been told it won't start just yet - no problem at all, but our cottage isn't the lightest at the best of times, and it really feels dark now, especially upstairs. Anyway, not to worry - except that the Sky aerial wasn't working at all because it was obscured by the scaffolding. Not to worry you might think, but some of you may have noticed that the Olympics are on! Now, I'm no good at sport, but I'm champion at watching it and cheering on the brilliant GB team. So a lovely Sky man came to move the dish for us, he was lovely, and sorted out my viewing for me. It was surprising to find that he was over for a few weeks from Tipperary to help out in England as it's busy here. When I was in Tipperary some years ago I was amused to see that the sign as you enter the town said "Welcome to Tipperary - it's a long way to come".
Things have been busy on the jewellery front, you'll find new brooches, including the popular Mother of Pearl Thistle Brooch, along with new necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
