The work on our roof has started in earnest this week, much to Otto's joy as he has more new friends to spoil him. He spends a good bit of time sitting at the bottom of the access ladder waiting for someone to come down, I'm sure he'd get up there if he could. The builders have been really considerate, but it does seem very strange having all these people about, my existence here is usually very quiet. Builders aren't like they used to be - no radio, no wolf-whistles, but I heard one of them on his mobile phone this morning singing Happy Birthday to his little girl at the top of his voice. Lovely.
It's being a busy few weeks for Mary's Little Gems, we had a great weekend at The Wortwell Bell last weekend, and this weekend is going to be equally busy. On Saturday morning I will be at a charity coffee morning in Ringsfield Village Hall, and on Sunday and Monday I will be at the lovely Walsham le Willows Open Gardens weekend, have a look on their website at walshamopengardens/org. It's a great event, and well worth a visit.
By the way, the Damson Jam is made and is absolutely lovely and may not last long....
As always, some new items on the website this week, sterling silver pendants, necklaces and I've bought in some really pretty Tree of Life stud earrings. For Abalone lovers (you know who you are), there is a super sterling silver pendant for you to have a look at.
